Sophia’s Corrective Surgery at Eleven-Months Old

As a child every year we watched the Good Friday Appeal on TV. When I became old enough I donated my time every year answering the phone in the phone room. I never thought after becoming a mother I would become one of the families I had seen on the TV.

Sophia was born with craniosynostosis and had corrective surgery at eleven months of age. The hospital was amazing. From her monthly visits prior to realising that she required surgery, to our hospital stay and yearly visits thereafter I cannot hold the hospital in any higher regard.

My extended family and I also held three gala fundraising events raising over $70,000 for the hospital.
