Some of Australia’s biggest names in television and entertainment come together this Friday, 18 April for the annual Good Friday Appeal on Seven and 7plus, raising vital funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and Victorian regional health services.

Celebrating its 68th year on Seven, Good Friday Appeal 2025 sees prime time host Larry Emdur and 7NEWS Melbourne’s Peter Mitchell, Rebecca Maddern, Jane Bunn, Mike Amor and Karina Carvalho, joined by a galaxy of stars from Sunrise, Home and Away, The Chase Australia, Australian Idol, The Voice, Better Homes and Gardens, 7NEWS and 7SPORT, plus some of the country’s most-loved musicians, athletes and comedians, for the iconic telecast.

The day kicks off with an extended edition of Sunrise, with weather man Sam Mac live from The Royal Children’s Hospital, ahead of the Good Friday Appeal from the new time of 10.00am on Seven in Melbourne and streaming live nationally on 7plus.

The annual Good Friday AFL SuperClash takes centre stage from 3.00pm, when North
Melbourne meets Carlton at Marvel Stadium. Football’s #1 commentary team will bring fans all the gameday action live and free, including the Half-Time Legends Kick for the Kids where two former club greats go head-to-head to raise funds for the Appeal, plus $1,000 will be donated by McDonald’s for every goal kicked throughout the game.

Following 7NEWS at 6.00pm, the Good Friday Appeal returns at 7.00pm with 2024 TV WEEK Gold Logie winner Larry Emdur hosting a jam-packed evening show, featuring celebrity panels, a huge line-up of entertainment, and all the action from the phone room as donations build.

Special guests throughout Seven’s telecast of the Good Friday Appeal include Sunrise stars Natalie Barr, Mark Beretta and Katie Brown; 7SPORT favourites Hamish McLachlan, Mel McLaughlin, Abbey Holmes, Dale “Daisy” Thomas, Matthew Richardson and Jason Richardson; Dancing With The Stars co-host Dr Chris Brown; Home and Away’s Lynne McGranger, Jessica Redmayne and Stephanie Panozzo; Matt Parkinson aka Goliath and Brydon Coverdale aka The Shark from The Chase Australia; The House of Wellness co-host Shane Crawford; Better Homes and Gardens’ DIY expert Adam Dovile; and popular comedian and radio presenter Joel Creasey.

Host of The Chase Australia and co-host of The Morning Show, Larry Emdur, said: “The Good Friday Appeal is such a special event and I can’t wait to host it once again. Remarkably, it keeps gaining momentum each year, changing millions of lives for Victorian children and families.

“We’ve got an incredible line up of talent and entertainment, so please tune in to the coverage on Seven, and give what you can.”

7NEWS Melbourne anchor Peter Mitchell said he is looking forward to marking his 38th consecutive year with the iconic event.

Seven’s Victorian Managing Director and Sales Director, Peter Charles, said: “The Good Friday Appeal is close to the hearts of all Victorians. The Royal Children’s Hospital’s cutting-edge technology and equipment, and leading research truly changes lives, and it’s a privilege to celebrate Seven’s 68th year of broadcasting this incredible event.”
