This year, over 100,000 Victorians are expected to visit Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) to support the Good Friday Appeal, at Melbourne’s biggest family fun festival – Kids Day Out.

This year, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Good Friday Appeal are celebrating a decade of partnership! That is ten years of donating countless hours and millions of dollars in waived venue hire, technology, resources, and catering.

To commemorate this significant milestone, the talented chefs at MCEC curated an engaging Easter egg decorating experience for a select group of fortunate RCH patients and their families. Guiding the children with expertise and enthusiasm, the chefs orchestrated the crafting of extraordinary Easter egg creations, taking place in the expansive MCEC kitchen. A heartfelt thank you extends to both the families and the MCEC chefs for their enthusiastic participation in this delightful celebration.

MCEC provides the invaluable space to house Kids Day Out with over 100,000 visitors, the phone room, money counting room and the all-important behind-the-scenes operations for the Good Friday Appeal.  This combined with their team’s expertise, flexibility and professionalism makes them an exceptional host and partner.  We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing commitment to the Good Friday Appeal to ensure sick kids and their families at The Royal Children’s Hospital receive the best medical care.
