Farewell to Anne Randall

We would like to thank our Director Anne Randall on leading six Good Friday Appeals.

Thank you for your ongoing support of the Good Friday Appeal. In this tough and challenging environment, we were extremely grateful for the support we received this year.

With the 2020 Good Friday Appeal coming to a close, we would like to thank our Director Anne Randall on her sixth and final Appeal. We would like to acknowledge the leadership that Anne has offered over the years, in particular this year, in what has turned out to be an extraordinary series of events.

Under Anne’s direction the Appeal has been guided into a strong position and a record breaking amount has been raised each year.  There are a number of ideas and plans Anne initiated since she commenced including new fundraising activities such as Escape from Neils Wheel in conjunction with 3AW and Melbourne Star; the AFL Kick for the Kids match on Good Friday; and the expanded Kids Day Out which attracts thousands of families to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The success of the Appeal lies with our community of supporters, and Anne has continued to strengthen these relationships with media, stakeholders, partners and our regional areas which she has greatly enjoyed visiting.

Anne’s commitment to the health of Victoria’s children, her warmth and humour will be missed by the Appeal team, and we wish her all the best. Anne’s final day with the Appeal is Friday 1 May.

Rebecca Cowan will take over as Executive Director of the Good Friday Appeal from 4 May. Anne and Rebecca have been working closely together over the past few weeks to ensure a smooth transition.

Thank you Anne for her wonderful contribution over the past 6 years.
