Sebastian ‘stoked’ to join Appeal

Guy Sebastian has been announced as the headline act for the Good Friday Appeal entertainment on Channel 7.

Guy Sebastian is set to headline the Good Friday Appeal 2022 entertainment along with Human Nature and The Voice 2021 winner Bella Taylor Smith.

The award-winning Australian singer-songwriter said he was “stoked” to be a part of the Good Friday Appeal.

“I’m in awe of the incredible work of our doctors, nurses and medical staff at The Royal Children’s Hospital and recognise how hard they all work to support families in their greatest time of need,” Sebastian said.

The Good Friday Appeal and Herald and Weekly Times chairman Penny Fowler said Victorians had raised $399m for The Royal Children’s Hospital since 1931.

The appeal will unite Victorians to dig deep to reach the $400m milestone this year.

The Good Friday Appeal executive director Rebecca Cowan was thrilled to have the support of Sebastian and other performers set to entertain families across Victoria.

“This is one you cannot miss, especially as the appeal also celebrates an incredible 65-year milestone with Channel 7,” Ms Cowan said.

Seven Melbourne managing director Lewis Martin said many Victorians had been touched in some way by the world-leading care The Royal Children’s Hospital had provided to kids for more than 150 years.

Seven’s broadcast of the 2022 event will start at noon on April 15. Donations can be made by calling 1300 277 325 or 1300 Appeal between 9am and 11.30pm on April 15.
