In the lead up to Halloween, Woolworths and The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal are inviting customers to support sick children across Victoria.
Woolworths customers can purchase a $2 wall token with all funds raised assisting The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal in their ongoing efforts to support sick children across Victoria.
Woolworths and the Good Friday Appeal have been partners for more than 32 years and through a number of fundraising efforts, including the Halloween Token Appeal, have raised over $24 million. Funds raised have helped assist with groundbreaking research as well as fundamental training, new technology and equipment for the hospital.
Rebecca Cowan, Director of the Good Friday Appeal said; “This year has been tough on all families across Australia so we are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from Woolworths customers to help The Royal Children’s Hospital deliver the best possible care to patients and their families in Victoria. A $2 donation can truly help improve the lives of other families doing it tough in what has been an already challenging year.”
Local Woolworths, Victoria State Manager, Andrew Hall said; “As the Victorian community begins to prepare for Halloween, we know this year’s celebrations will be a little different for many of us. We want to provide an opportunity, for those who are able to, to support children in need at the same time.
“We’re constantly amazed by the generous spirit of our customers and the ongoing support they show for our partnership with The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. This year, while shopping for their pumpkins, costumes and decorations for Halloween celebrations at home, we’re encouraging customers who are able to support other children and their families in VIC, to make a charity donation or add a Halloween token to their shop.”
The campaign launches today and will run through to 31 October 2020 in Woolworths stores across Australia.
