With record breaking crowds, Kids Day Out was enjoyed by many attendees who came to support the GFA on the day. Sixty-one wonderful activity groups held many engaging activities for over 102,000 visitors on the day.

This event along with the AFL Superclash match was the destination on the Easter calendar with the 2023 Kids Day Out event attracting more attendees than the 2022 AFL Grand Final!  The event was the ultimate connection place for GFA supporters whether they are fundraisers, donors, volunteers, activity groups, corporate partners and/or families. 

Thank you to everyone who makes this event possible. Kids Day Out is a shining example of the generosity of our community, who raised an incredible $23, 061,320, taking the amount raised over 92 years to an amazing $444M. Thank you also to our event sponsor, the City of Melbourne and the the MCEC for their amazing event space.

The City of Melbourne is proud to support the Good Friday Appeal Kids Day Out and raise much-needed funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital.

For more than 150 years the remarkable staff have been instrumental in providing healthcare to children from across Victoria.

Our wonderful Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will host a full day of fun activities to do with family and friends. Bring along your teddy for a checkup in the Teddy Bear Hospital, explore our sensory space, take in a cultural performance, unleash your inner artist in a creative session or enjoy a thrilling carnival ride.

All donations on the day will help The Royal Children’s Hospital continue its ground-breaking research, fund state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and family-focused care programs.
