Come on down to Kids Day Out

The Good Friday Appeal encourages Victorians of all ages to come along to the 2019 Kids Day Out, supported by the City of Melbourne. This annual event is a great way to bring the whole family together for a day of amusement, activities and entertainment, all while raising much needed funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital.

FREE ENTRY: You do not need to book or buy tickets. Select activities are $3 – $10, with other activities by gold coin donation.

GETTING THERE:

Please note there are major works taking place on roads and public transport routes. See the Public Transport Victoria site here for further details.

Trams – Take the 96, 12 or 109 down Spencer/Clarendon St to the stop at the Clarendon St entrance.

Trains – Travel to Southern Cross Station, then catch one of the above trams or bus route 238 (arrives at Convention Centre Place entry), or walk 10 minutes from the station. Buses will be replacing trains on the Cranbourne, Pakenham, Frankston, Sandringham, Gippsland and Geelong lines on Good Friday. A Message from the Lord Mayor of Melbourne

The City of Melbourne is proud to support the 2019 Kids Day Out, raising much needed funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital.

This annual event is a great way to support and celebrate the great work that comes with assisting sick children, their families and the hospital’s medical teams.

This special day is always one of memories, so bring your teddy bear for a check-up at the teddy bear hospital; enjoy great entertainment, delicious food and loads of exciting activities.

Kids Day Out Activities

Please note, in 2019 due to a change of format there will NOT be an autograph stage where attendees can meet and greet the stars.

Ice Skating Wonderland

Lace up your skates at the Bank of Melbourne Ice Skating Wonderland or take a ride down the 15 metre ice slide. Skate hire is available at the venue so kids of all ages can skate the day away.

Woolworths Fresh Food Market

Treat your taste buds to some delicious produce at the Woolworths Fresh Fair.

Teddy Bear Hospital

Bring your teddy or soft toy for a checkup at the Teddy Bear Hospital with our Teddy Bear doctors from The University of Melbourne. Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting bears will be available to purchase, with all proceeds going to the appeal.
