Just like the AFL, the Good Friday Appeal is the fabric of the Victorian community and we are excited to further enhance this already wonderful Appeal and raise much-needed funds to support the work of The Royal Children’s Hospital.

The Good Friday Appeal and AFL are intrinsically linked, with the first Appeal in 1931 being a veterans football match to raise funds for sick kids.
With the match kicking off at 4.20pm, families can still enjoy all the fun of the Good Friday Appeal Kids Day Out at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and then catch the game at Etihad Stadium.

The match will be shown as part of the Seven Network Good Friday Appeal telecast from 4 pm to 7 pm on Channel 7.

Stay tuned as there will be more AFL initiatives announced in the coming weeks to support this year’s Appeal.

GETTING THERE

Allow extra travel time to the game on Good Friday. Buses will be replacing trains on the Cranbourne, Pakenham, Frankston, Sandringham, Gippsland and Geelong lines. Plan ahead at ptv.vic.gov.au.

We are proud to work with Shout and ANZ Bank at this year’s Kick for the Kids to provide a cashless way to donate on the day alongside our tin rattling. Look out for volunteers holding the ANZ Shout Blade Pay for an easy way to donate.
