Volunteering on Good Friday
If you have never volunteered for the Good Friday Appeal before and are interested in assisting us on Good Friday, or throughout the year, please complete our New Volunteer Expression of Interest form below.
We are fortunate to have so many dedicated volunteers who assist us on Good Friday and currently have a good list of volunteers for 2020, however new positions generally become available so we encourage you to apply below and you will be added to our waitlist.
Taking donations over the phone on Good Friday is a very popular role, and thankfully we have plenty of volunteers who can fill these positions. However, that’s not the only role volunteers help us with on Good Friday. We also require volunteers to:
- help visitors find their way around Australia’s largest one day family friendly event, Kids Day Out, held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre
- collect donations at the ‘Kick for the Kids’ AFL match at Marvel Stadium
- assist children with craft activities or scatter chocolate eggs at the largest Easter egg hunt in Australia, the Cadbury Easter Picnic and Egg Hunt, held at Werribee Park
- count money in hundreds of collection tins which are used to collect donations from the community at intersections, outside shopping centres and at fundraising events all across Victoria
- plus so many more …
If any volunteer positions become available we will contact you in March 2020. Thank you!
We have two collection groups who are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help them fundraise for the Good Friday Appeal.
The RCH Pied Pipers has built a reputation as one of the key voluntary groups supporting The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. To ensure the ongoing success of contributions to the Hospital, the RCH Pied Pipers would love to hear from anyone who would like to join them and support the kids.
