The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will be transformed into a wonderland for kids, with a giant roller-skating rink, sports clinics, the popular Teddy Bear Hospital, kids cooking classes, rides, music and dancing and so much more. Kids Day Out is brought to you by the City of Melbourne.

Teddy Bear Hospital
Bring your favourite soft toy for a check-up with the expert teddy bear doctors from the University of Melbourne and buy a new teddy friend from Build-A-Bear Workshop to take home
Roller skating sessions,roller disco and skate hire
Meet the Pirates of Polly Woodside and walk the plank!
Learn some skills at the NAB AFL Auskick clinic. Race on the Little Athletics running track and have a session with Melbourne Victory and the Victoria Police Soccer Club.
Hop aboard a Harley Davidson or take a ride in a convertible Mustang.
Go wild on the carnival rides and jump around on the giant inflatables.
Art and Play
Have fun in the kitchen with Bubble Muffin Kids Cooking classes. Get creative in the giant Lego® building zone and learn how to make a lantern.
Music and Dance
Get your groove on at the silent disco, learn to dance and have a go at kid’s karaoke! Check out the performances on the community stage and kick back in the Smooth family area.

Meet the stars
Have your photo taken with NAO the humanoid robot and be part of a meet-and-greet with the stars from MKR and Home and Away.
Tantalise your tastebuds at the Woolworths Fresh Food Market and pick up a treat at Nova’s ice cream van.

The Good Friday Appeal telethon will be broadcast live all day from the Kids Day Out. See behind the scenes and watch all the fun of the day on Channel 7 and 3AW.
Channel 7 Appearance Stage
At the Kids Day Out you will have the exclusive chance to meet the stars from Channel 7!
There wll be two ticketed sessions. Tickets will be handed out to the public at the 7News booth in the Melbourne Convention Centre.
Tickets for the MKR Appearance will be available from 9am. Tickets for the Home and Away Appearance will be available from 11am.
‘Meet & greet’ tickets will be handed out first and then the ‘viewing only’ tickets will be handed out. First in, best dressed policy.
No attendee is able to take two types of tickets for the same session. Attendees must be present at the 7News booth to be given a ticket.
MKR Appearance - 11am-12pm: Includes appearances by My Kitchen Rules stars Eve and Jason Sellars, Mitch and Laura Skvor and Tasia and Gracia Seger.
Home and Away Appearance - 1pm-2.30pm: Includes appearances by Home & Away stars Charlie Clausen, Isabella Giovinazzo and Jackson Gallagher.

How to get to the Kids Day Out
The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is located on Clarendon Street, South Wharf, next to the Yarra River.
TRAM: Trams 96, 112 or 109 down Spencer/Clarendon Street stop at the Clarendon Street entrance of MCEC.
TRAIN: The closest train station is Southern Cross Station – then catch one of the above trams or take a 10 minute walk from the station.
PARKING: There will be limited parking at MCEC, so we recommend catching public transport if you can. MCEC and DFO carpark is $19 flat rate. Etihad Stadium Car Park (10-minute walk) is $10 flat rate.
