Chicken Parmas are still a menu favourite and a fundraising hit for the 70 or so hotels around Victoria who will be serving up this pub classic in a bid to raise money for the 2010 Herald Sun, 3AW/Magic & Seven Network Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
Parma Week, which is now celebrating its fifth year with the Good Friday Appeal, donates $2 from the sale of every chicken parmagiana sold in the week leading up to Good Friday.
Domenic Di Deo, National Food Operations Manager with the ALH Group says the group is proud to have reached this five-year milestone having donated more than $200,000 so far.
“Pubs and Parmas go hand in hand and our publicans are keen to do better every year for the Kids.”
“The support shown from the local community in and around our pubs has been fantastic, with many of them coming in large groups and having a Parma feast”.
From the Olinda Creek Hotel in Lilydale and the Matthew Flinders at Chadstone, to the Moreland in Brunswick, the Fountain Gate at Narre Warren and Young and Jacksons in the CBD - pubs across the suburbs and country Victoria are taking part in the Parma Week challenge.
“Victorian pubs have always been great supporters of the Good Friday Appeal and we are delighted that this very successful fundraising campaign continues to grow,” says Appeal Director, Christine Unsworth.
Parma Week runs from Friday 26 March to Thursday 1 April.

Register your hotel now!Victorian hotels are invited to join with the ALH Group in this year’s
